President
- Supervise the affairs of the
Chapter and preside over weekly Board meetings
- Maintain communications
between National ASCE and the CEE Department
- Represent the Chapter at all
appropriate meetings at the Chapter, Section, Zone, and
National levels
- Be ex officio a member of all
committees and groups to ensure goals are met and group
rapport is maintained
- Maintain good rapport and
frequent contact with the Faculty Advisor, Department Head,
Dean of the College of Engineering, and Engineering Council
Internal Vice-President
- Perform the duties of the
President in the President's absence
- Assist the President in
decision making
- Organize the agenda for
Chapter meetings, including obtaining a speaker
- Organize the FE Exam review
sessions and book sales
External Vice-President
- Perform the duties of the
President in the President's absence
- Assist the President in
decision making
- Collect member resumes and
organize a resume book for Corporate distribution
- Organize Chapter field trips
Secretary
- Record proceedings of Chapter
General Meetings and Executive Board Meetings
- Maintain correspondence with
Chapter members through a monthly newsletter
Treasurer
- Prepare a Chapter budget and
keep accurate records regarding all expenditures
- Exercise good business sense
in general and perform all other duties normally ascribed to
the office
Membership Director
- Attract new membership in new
and creative ways
- Accept membership applications
and dues
- Assist other officers with
student member lists as needed
Concrete Canoe Chair
- Perform and delegate all tasks necessary for
the completion of a champion concrete canoe
Steel Bridge Chair
- Perform and delegate all tasks necessary for
the completion of a champion steel bridge
Engineering Open House
Chairs
- Correspond with Engineering Council concerning
EOH events
- Plan exhibits and displays for the Open House
- Act as the Chapter's Engineering Council
Representatives
Corporate Relations Chair
- Create and maintain relations between the
Chapter and the corporate world
- Maintain the corporate database
- Oversee the Shadow an Engineer program
Outreach Chair
- Serve as a source of information and
activities for community involvement
Social Chair
- Provide activities for members to interact and
get to know each other outside the classroom
Internet Chair
- Develop and maintain the Chapter website
- Work with all Officers to
create a web presence for each facet of the Chapter
